Finally the long awaited Scott Plasma 3 is in sight. This speed demon that we have seen under the Columbia HTC riders for the past year will be on our door step before the end of the summer. Both the Plasma 3 Premium and the TT are made from Scott's proprietary carbon fiber (HMX), the same carbon fiber found in the Plasma 2 LTD and the Addict R1 and RC. This stuff is light and stiff! Yes, both frames share the same geometry (except for the stem).
The Premium version of this bike will come with a proprietary stem that has a slight rise making the frame more feasible for most triathletes, especially those looking to compete in long course races. The Plasma 3 Premium will also come drilled for cable shifting.
The Scott Plasma TT will come with the classic Team Columbia HTC paint and have a 0 degree rise stem that follows the same line as the bikes top tube. Oh, by the way, no shift cables on this frame my friends. The Plasma 3 TT comes drilled for Shimano Di2 only!
We will have more Premium framesets as these will fit a greater number of triathletes. We will have a limited run of the Plasma 3 TT frames.
